Wow! April has been an amazing month for Safe Families for Children in Yamhill County! We started off the month by celebrating our amazing volunteers! We enjoyed an evening together connecting volunteers from different churches and discussing the obstacles and victories we’ve had over the last year.
We also gave an overview of how SFFC has impacted Yamhill County in 2017/2018:
Looking ahead we are excited to partner with even more churches by getting the word out through sharing at home gatherings or small groups, presenting at churches, and visiting pastors or other leaders in churches.
On Friday April 13th, volunteers, supporters, and staff gathered from several states to attend the first converence of its kind in Salem, Oregon. Teri Alexander and her team from catholic Community Services did an amazing job of putting this together.
We had the privilege to hear from SFFC founder, Dave Anderson, along with leaders several leaders from other states. We attended breakout session on how to lead a social ministry in a post modern culture and what it looks like to equip churches to have a Safe Families for Children ministry of their own.
